Grace Point Life Group Live

Hello fellow Life Group members! I'd like to use this BLOG as a vehicle to keep our life group connected. I will begin posting thoughts about the upcoming Sunday discussion topic. We can all post thoughts about the previous week's discussion. I look forward to hearing all your thoughts as we grow stronger in our faith and better connected in the local body of Christ.

Hello Archie,

I love this blog. May God continue to show favor and bless you and Cora.

Your story about your trials is a great example of a person having faith and trusting God in any given situation. Not to mention that I personally believe that you have a direct line to God when it comes to prayers. :-)

I have copied a message that I received today from my fellow jeweler (Cindi Richter of Kerville, TX) that requested prayer for her son Jake and grandchild Brennan. Please read the message below and rejoice in the power of prayer.

Your sister in Christ,
Kathy
*********************************

Jake’s results are in and while the diagnosis sounds bad – it’s NOT!!! He has been diagnosed with Gilbert’s Disease (French – t is silent). It’s a hyper-bilirubin that kicks in during times of exertion, stress, not eating or infection (remember he had severe tonsillitis). It’s hereditary but only affects around 5% of the population. It is usually in those of European descent (yep – that’s us) and predominately in males. NO long term effects, etc. No medications. We have been crying tears of joy and singing and rejoicing. So THANK YOU for your prayers, love and support. It has been a trying time for all of us, and God extended His grace, mercy and healing to this family.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! Please continue to hold Brennan up in prayer for his Dec. 3rd surgery. Blessings, me.

Kathy,
Thank you for “love this blog”. That is incredibly encouraging. One of God’s gifts to you is obviously one of encouragement.

I’m happy for your friend Cindi and her family. Isn’t God good! It is awesome to see His hand at work. She is blessed to have you as a mentor in the business.

archi,
I love this site, it's kool. I'm really puter dumb though so i shied away from it all week. I just got up the nerve to do this @ 11:45pm sat. night lol. I can play vidieo games so I can talk the lingo that's all.
Your message last week has inspired me to become expectant in my prayers rather than hopeful. I put the matter B4 the father thru the spirit; and, thru faith I expect results. I trust that the results are as GOD entends for me.
I prayed that way this week and now I am LISTED AS A WOUNDED WORRIOR IN TRANSITION! PRAISE GOD!

Nate,
Thank you for the kind words. Glad to see you took that leap of faith and posted to the blog. All of America is proud to have men and women willing to make the life changing sacrifice of service for their country. We wish you the best during this transition period of you and your family's life.

Well, Sun. is almost done and five cards gone too 55 to go! (Archie lol!) I have a leg up on ya'll tho I see so much pain and despair it's easy to talk about GOD! Well i have an answe to prayer, I now work as an assisant to the assisant to the chaplians! All WIT must be gainfully empolyed while not in a medical appt. or hospitalized. They are usually assigned to some menial task as handing out the plasic sleeve that holds the ID card to your shirt as you enter the hospital. I asked to work in the chaplians office. I wanted to be a chaplians assistant. Little did i know that that would be conscidered prosclatizing and i'd be in jail! so i'm in a secratarial position with the oportunity to witness if asked about my faith not before! So between reorginizing the office phone system and handing out food vouchers to needy families of the wounded worriors I read the entire book of Matthew! I had 2 appts to go to and finished the day by baby sittin a child with ADD/hyperactivity disorder that the real chap. asst had now idea how to manage. GOD blessed me that day! I call that day the "PERFECT DAY" I expect many more. I got no medals for leaving the respiratory dept. where I trained half the staff but I look forward to the ones I'll see in heaven from this place! I can't even call it WORK!
Please pray for Carrie, she seems to have a really bad sinus infection again or it might be her teeth infecting her sinuses I can't tell but she's in a great deal of pain. She'll go to the ENT this week. Finally! Well I could praise god and ask for prayer all night, and I do get real wordy so I'll stop. Much love & prayer natedog ;-)
